Talented artists filled Vine Street in downtown Redlands this past Saturday evening, Oct. 17, as “infusionartworks” Art Gallery held its’ official grand opening. At about 6 p.m. that evening, a myriad of art-hungry community members piled into the gallery to view various masterpieces created by local talented artists that filled the walls of the gallery. Owners Evan Roy Dahlke, his wife Adda Christine Dahlke, and John Smeby among the various artists of the evening were present to meet any curious viewers or potential customers. The art gallery has been open since Sept. 7 but just recently held their public grand opening this past weekend. Evan Dahlke is currently a Grand Terrace resident, and was born and raised in Southern California. He has been an artist in Long Beach for about six years now, and his next step was to open his own art gallery and curate art. “I go out there and find artists that have quality, unique art that has depth to it… I’m trying to help artists get to that next level and make a career out of it,” he shared. There are currently twelve resident artists in the gallery, including Dahlke himself. “I want to help them go from weekend show artist to established art gallery artists,” he explained. The featured artist of this month was Redlands local of four years, Michal Madison. She shared that last month she came down to the art gallery to check it out, to introduce herself and give them her card. “They called me that night to ask me if I wanted to be the Featured Artist for October,” Madison shared. “It’s been such a huge honor.”
