Residents Invited to Apply for Postions on City Advisory Boards

The City of Redlands currently has openings on two City advisory boards. Deadline for filing applications to either of the boards is Oct. 3. Members are appointed by the City Council. Persons interested in applying for the non-salaried positions may request application forms from the City Manager's Office, City Hall, 35 Cajon St., Suite 200, by phone at 909-798-7510, or on-line at www.cityofredlands.org STREET TREE COMMITTEE - The Street Tree Committee shall be advisory to the City Council and shall recommend policies for the planting, care and removal of trees and shrubs in all parkways in the City. The Street Tree Committee meets bi-monthly on the fourth Thursday of even- numbered months at 5:30 p.m. in the Civic Center Conference Room, 35 Cajon St., Suite 200. HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION - The Human Relations Commission was established to foster peaceful relations among persons of different races and national origins. This commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council and to aid the City in achieving better human relations by providing assistance to all persons or groups in promoting good will and better relations among all people. The Human Relations Commission meets on the third Monday of odd-numbered months at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 35 Cajon St.
