Holstrom and Gonzalez Sign Letters of Intent

San Bernardino Valley College Women's Soccer sophomore defender Taylor Holstrom (Hesperia Sultana) and freshman forward Darrian Gonzalez (Redlands Citrus Valley) have both signed their letters of intent with Tabor College. Holstrom competed in 14 games for SBVC this season, 13 of which were shutout victories. Her best game of the season was at home versus San Diego City where she not only helped secure the shutout, but also scored her first goal of the season. Gonzalez competed in four games for SBVC this season, all of which were victories. The team finished the season ranked seventh in the nation by the NSCAA, ending the year with a 16-3-3 overall record and a 6-1-1 conference record. They were rewarded with a #5 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. As a reward for their seventh Conference Championship, the team was bestowed with the Conference MVP award, four first team All-Conference honors and four second team All-Conference honors. Tabor College is located in Hillsboro, Kansas, which is about 165 miles west of Kansas City and about 50 miles north of Wichita. The Tabor Bluejays play at Joel H. Wiens Stadium and the team is coached by second year head coach, Ian Thomson. In the 2015 season, the Bluejays went 2-6-2 in conference play finishing seventh, with an overall record of 4-11-2. Tabor College is in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) of the NAIA.
