Art enthusiasts, community supporters and the general public are invited to attend an "Evening with the Artists," a special event hosted by the Redlands Community Hospital Foundation and Art Committee that will showcase pieces from five professional local artists on April 22 at 5:30 p.m. “This eighth annual event allows us to increase our collection of local art, which brings joy to patients and staff alike at the hospital,” said Susan Sequeira, Redlands Community Hospital Foundation’s Art Committee Chairperson. “Thanks to the collaboration of gifted artists, generous community donors and our Foundation Art Committee Volunteers, we can create a colorful and peaceful feeling at Redlands Community Hospital that brings a healing environment for patients, visitors and staff.” For this year’s event, the Redlands Community Hospital Foundation will showcase local artists Jeff Skelly, Leslee Adams, Michael Bedoya, Karen Werner and Trudy Wood. The original artwork on display will be available for purchase and a percentage of the proceeds will go to support the Redlands Community Hospital Foundation’s art fund. “Evening with the Artists” will be held at the Stan and Ellen Weisser Education Pavilion, located at 350 Terracina Blvd., Redlands, California 92373, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 22. Tickets are $25. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be available for guests during the event. The Foundation’s art program began in 1978, and today, the hospital exhibits a collection of more than 800 works of original art and historic photographs throughout its hallways and waiting areas.
