Mansion Masquerade Raises More than $25,000

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside’s fourth annual Mansion Masquerade drew about 200 people to the Burrage Mansion in Redlands on Oct. 23. The Halloween-themed costume party, presented by Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, raised more than $25,000 for the club. The event included food, drinks, dancing, a silent auction and two tours – one historic and one “haunted.” Local restaurants, including Jose’s Mexican Food, Buffalo Wild Wings and Corner Bakery donated food, and Redlands’ Hangar 24 Craft Brewery and Ritual Brewing Co. provided beer. The haunted tour took guests through a “zombie quarantine” zone on the mansion’s grounds. For those who preferred to not be spooked, the historic tour took them through the mansion’s past and architecture, through the eyes of those who lived there. “The money raised at Mansion Masquerade helps us to maintain the nationally recognized programming we have in place, as well as work to initiate new programs and activities for the kids to help them become caring, productive, responsible citizens,” said Club CEO P.T. McEwen. “It is events like Mansion Masquerade and our generous sponsors and guests who help us serve more kids year after year.”
