Most Redlands City Hall administrative offices will be closed for the week of Christmas through the New Year. Essential city services, including public safety and utilities and the A.K. Smiley Public Library, will be in full operation. City offices, including City Hall, will close on Friday, Dec. 19, and reopen Monday, Jan. 5. The Redlands Community Center, Redlands Community Senior Center and Joslyn Senior Center will close Monday, Dec. 22, and reopen Monday, Jan. 5. In addition to public safety, utility customer service and billing, solid waste and recycling pickup, the Redlands Animal Shelter, Hillside Memorial cemetery, and city parks will remain open and in operation. All city facilities and operations other than police, fire and emergency utility services will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 and Jan. 1. Limited building inspections will be available by appointment on Dec. 22, 23, 29 and 30. To schedule an appointment, call 909-798-7536 the day before the inspection is needed. Leave a message with your address, permit number and a number where you can be reached. An inspector will call to confirm the date and approximate time of the inspection.
