REDLANDS>> While many seniors are enjoying their last few months of high school, equally as many are also thinking about their next step in their education. Nineteen area high schools sent their seniors to Crafton Hills College on Friday, March 3 to learn more about the school's programs and services. Beaumont, Big Bear, Citrus Valley, Colton, Glen View, Green Valley, The Grove, Mesa Grande Academy, Orangewood, Pacific, Redlands East Valley, Redlands, Rim of the World, San Andreas, San Gorgonio, Sierra, Slover Mountain, Springs Charter and Yucaipa high schools sent more than 900 students to Crafton Hills College to participate in workshops, take a campus tour and have lunch. Senior Day was developed to encourage high school students to attend college and discover what’s available in their local community. “We’re so pleased to share our beautiful campus today with over 900 area high school students,” said Kirsten Colvey, dean of counseling at Crafton Hills College. “The students learn about our unique academic programs, attend workshops on financial aid and other student support services. Hopefully, they leave here with a better understanding on the benefits of attending college.”
