City of Redlands Begins Repaving Streets

Street repavements are set to take place between Orange Street and Sixth street as well as between Colton Avenue and Redlands Blvd.

REDLANDS>> The repaving of several of Redlands streets began on Wednesday, April 12 and is expected to last well into the following week. The re-pavements are set to take place on Colton Avenue, between Orange Street and Sixth Street, as well as on Sixth Street, between Colton Avenue and Redlands Boulevard. All work will occur at night, between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. except for Thursday when work will be postponed until 11 p.m. to accommodate merchants and patrons of Market Night. The project is expected to be completed within one week. Striping will also begin on the west portion of Colton Avenue from Orange Street to New York Street; Eureka Street from Colton Avenue to Pearl Avenue, and the intersection of Texas Street and Colton Avenue. Businesses will remain accessible and no road closures are anticipated as part of this work. All construction dates are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen conditions. Parking will be restricted during hours of construction. Parking will be available during business hours. Access to properties will be made available at all times. On May 17, 2016, the City Council awarded a contract for $1,879,916.18 for construction of the Colton Avenue/6th Street and Nevada Street/Lugonia Avenue Non-Potable Pipeline Project to MCC Pipeline, Incorporated, of Yucaipa.
