Keep Colton Clean Beautiful Brings Community Volunteers Together to Give Veterans Park a Fresh Start

A cleaner park can begin with something as simple as a pair of gloves, a trash bag and a few hours donated by neighbors who care about their community. Colton residents will have an opportunity to put that idea into action when the City's Keep Colton Clean & Beautiful program brings volunteers together at Veterans Park, 290 E. O Street, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon. The community cleanup will focus on improving the appearance of one of Colton's neighborhood parks through hands-on volunteer work. According to the City, participants will help pick up litter, sweep walkways, refresh picnic areas and give additional attention to the playground. Cleanup supplies will be provided, and City staff will be available to coordinate the effort. The event is part of Colton's broader Keep Colton Clean & Beautiful effort, which encourages residents to become directly involved in caring for the public spaces they share. While a three-hour cleanup may seem like a small undertaking, organized volunteer projects can make a visible difference.
