REDLANDS >> Federal agents continue to search for information that will lead to the arrest of the person who stole several firearms and ammunition from a Redlands gun store in November, officials said.
In the early morning hours of Nov. 4 a 6-foot-tall man with a slender build forced his way into the FFL Gun Boss Armory in the 1200 block of Indiana Court, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive reported.
Surveillance footage captured images of a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and something over his face outside the gun shop.
The unidentified man took several firearms — more than 50, according to a previous report — and rounds of ammunition, authorities said.
Details on how the man broke into the business were not released. However, Redlands police officials say he managed to take the firearms and flee in a dark-colored SUV.
The ATF Los Angeles Field Division and the National Shooting Sports Foundation are each offering $5,000 for a total reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the thief’s and conviction.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective Patrick Leivas at pleivas@redlandspolice.org or the ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS (283-4867).
