Fatal Weekend Collision

Redlands Firefighters responded to a fatal single-vehicle traffic collision on the westbound Interstate 10 at Highway 210 early Saturday morning. Crews responding to the 2 a.m. call Saturday, Feb. 16, found the single vehicle had struck the guard rail and a sign standard. In addition to the male driver, who was pronounced dead on the scene, firefighters extricated two male passengers who were transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center, one in extremely critical condition, the other with moderate injuries. The California Highway Patrol handled the accident investigation, which shut down both Interstate 10 and Highway 210 for approximately one hour.
