Household Hazardous Waste Site Again Accepting ewaste

The Household Hazardous Waste will resume Saturday, Feb. 27.

The City of Redlands e-waste collection will resume after being temporarily halted while statewide concerns over some recycling companies’ final disposal of the hazardous material contained within electronic items such as large televisions were addressed. The City of Redlands Household Hazardous Waste site stopped accepting electronic waste beginning Feb 6. E-waste collection will resume at the site beginning Saturday, Feb. 27. The Household Hazardous Waste site is located at 500 Kansas St. and operates Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. During operating hours, residents can dispose of household materials including, outdated prescription medication (with the exception of controlled substances), outdated pet prescription medication, paint products, chemical cleaners, pesticides, fertilizers, hobby/pool supplies, automotive oil, filters, brake fluid, transmission fluid, anti-freeze, gasoline, and propane tanks.
