Redlands>>The City of Redlands will holding their next Disaster Council meeting on Monday, July 24 between 4 to 5 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Redlands City Council Chambers, where the community is highly advised to be engaged during their meetings.

The quarterly meeting will include a presentation from Robin Bishop and Debra J. Williams of Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster. There will also be reports by Carrie Cruz from the San Bernardino County Fire Department/Operational Area/Office of Emergency Services and by Redlands Emergency Services Manager Fay Glass on the Community Emergency Response Team and the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan.

The dangers of the summer season have recently left inland cities at high risk for wildfires and other hazards, and by being prepared with an emergency plan layout, city officials, as well the community, can work together to eliminate these possible outcomes.

The City Disaster Council has developed and recommends emergency and mutual aid plans and agreements for consideration and possible adoption by the Redlands City Council. Meetings are held quarterly. The Redlands City Council Chambers are at 35 Cajon St., Suite 2.
