The A.K. Smiley Library will be hosting an employment boot camp on March 9th. This four-hour interactive workshop targets everyone from recent graduates to mid‐career changers as well as those who were laid off, downsized, or returning to a career after time away from the workforce.
Whether a person has been searching for a job for two weeks or two years, this workshop will provide imaginative ideas that will turn the job search process from reactive to proactive and put the job seeker in the driver’s seat for landing his/her dream career. Attendees will learn how to not be their own worst enemy and to find a job based on their passion and interests using innovative search strategies. Attendees will also learn effective resume writing and interview techniques.
This free event is open to everyone. No reservations are required, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early as space may be limited.
