On Nov. 8, San Bernardino County Museum held an art studio of its own, allowing visitors of all ages to express themselves through creative writing, photography, and other artistic activities. The museum had many exhibits including dinosaur, birds, mammals, reptiles, and a United States history exhibit, which gave the children inspiration to draw. Each exhibit has a life-size replica of each animal.
The art room had a handful of art supplies ranging from pencils, markers, pens and color pencils to fine-pointed pens. The families sat in different tables and quietly drew their pictures in peace. If the children needed an idea on what to draw, their parents would walk around outside of the art room and into an exhibit for help.
After the pictures were finished, the director of the event took a photo of each completed work. She then uploads it onto her laptop and adds it to the gallery. “We are hoping to make an art book out of these,” she said.
