Starbucks on Redlands Blvd. and Clark Street has rehabilitated an old 1960s drive-in keeping its retro feel intact. The site used to be home to iconic La Rosita’s Drive Inn Mexican Restaurant where locals nicknamed the historic La Rosita’s “Mama’s.” The Redlands Blvd. and Clark Street building was originally built in 1960 where U.S. Route 99 used to traverse Redlands until 1964. Much has changed since then, routes and restaurants have come and gone but Redlands continues to welcome all just the same. The site was bustling with new patrons for the grand re-opening Feb. 10, families sat outside in the fresh spring air in the patio, and young college students staked their claim for studying. Check out the video and see what has changed, and what has stayed the same.
