Quartermania was the name of the recent event that took place at, Empire Bowl in Redlands. Families, friends and couples showed up to take advantage of the special and enjoy a night of bowling. Pop music was playing in the background while the basketball game played on TVs in front of the lanes.
Jenny Horn, an Empire Bowl employee, worked at the front counter taking payments and handing out bowling shoes to guests. Horn shared that the owners of Empire Bowl have been offering this special for years now and it is a popular event.
Emanuel Espinoza came with his brother and found out about the event because his girlfriend works at the restaurant in the bowling alley. He shared, “I am enjoying the event. It’s a reasonable price.”
Robert Hunter came out to Empire Bowl with his friends, Nicole Hernandez and Jose Tabares. Hunter said he tries to come out every couple of weeks to bowl. He said that he and his friends have fun when they come out to to bowl.
Customer service employee, Wayne Phelps said, “It’s a really nice bowling center. Everyone takes pride in the center and we keep it up. We want to make sure we it is nice for families and for people to come and have a good time.”
Patrons rolled bowling balls down the lanes and enjoyed fried foods from the concession stand with friends and families.

People began trickling in around 9:30pm and by 10:15pm, the lanes were getting full. Jenny Horn is key carrier at Empire Bowl and was working at the front counter taking payments and handing out bowling shoes to guests. Horn said, “Quarter Mania is $7 per person for 3 games and shoes and each game after that is a quarter.” The turnout that night was, “a bit slower because of spring break, and typically we have a lot of University of Redlands students come in and bowl.” The owners of Empire Bowl have been hosting this special for years now and is a popular event.
