Dashing Dons Walk The Catwalk for Two Great Causes

REDLANDS>> The Unforgettables Foundation’s 4th Annual Unforgettables Bachelor Auction of Inland Southern California, in partnership with the Businesswoman’s Association of San Bernardino County, was a success on Saturday, Nov. 19 with more than $10,000 net profits. Thirty men, ages 26-62, walked the red carpet in front of more than 100 bidding women aside the catwalk at Speakeasy on State in Redlands. “With all the many moving parts, everyone had a tremendous 20’s night of dates and dancing," said event co-chair, Christine Beamer of Beamer Tax and Business Services in Yucaipa. This makes a total gross income of more than $50,000 for 100 families helped over the events lifetime with 70 bachelors as alumni now. The Unforgettables Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded by Tim Evans in 1999. During a decade of clinical ministry to children and their families, Evans assisted families with the many crises surrounding the death of a child-not the least of which are the crushing financial burdens experienced by families with limited resources. Assisted by Inland Empire educators, medical professionals, social workers and morticians, Evans created The Unforgettables Foundation. Paramount among aspects of the Foundation’s mission is to assist low-income families provide a dignified, appropriate burial for their children who have died. Garner Holt, founder of Garner Holt Productions, Inc., was one of the bachelors who was auctioned off during the event and said it was his first time being auctioned off for a date. "I was hoping that I wouldn't sell for $5," Holt said. Holt received one of the highest bids of the night with two woman each bidding $500. Holt will go on dates with both of the bidders and he said both are nice and attractive women. Holt said he wanted to be a part of the auction because it was for a good cause. "I try to participate in anything I can do that have real good causes," he said. Holt said he had a a lot of fun at the event and that everyone was cheering and having a good time.
