A shocking diagnosis—a hole in her brain the size of a lemon—explained the learning disabilities Cole Cohen had struggled with her entire life. In her talk at the Visiting Writers Series, the author and alumna will discuss the questions and answers that diagnosis brought, how she moved forward, and more about the story she has shared in her first book, "Head Case: My Brain and Other Wonders." Cohen is an alumna of the University’s Johnston Center for Integrated Studies and holds an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. She currently works in the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center at University of California, Santa Barbara.
